If you are too irritable and the nice people try to
avoid your company, you may be having some well known
disease; probably from the list shown below:
Shingles
Shingles is a skin rash caused by the same virus that
causes chickenpox. This virus is called the Varicella
zoster virus (VZV) and belongs to the herpes family.
Gallbladder or Kidney Stone
When either kind of stone exists, the liver, kidneys and
the whole system cannot work efficiently.
Gout
Gout is a kind of arthritis that occurs when uric acid
builds up in blood and causes joint inflammation. Acute
gout is a painful condition that typically affects one
joint. Chronic gout is repeated episodes of pain and
inflammation. Gout symptoms and signs include joint pain
and swelling.
Haemorrhoids
Haemorrhoids are painful, swollen veins in the lower
portion of the rectum or anus. Haemorrhoids are very
common, especially during pregnancy and after
childbirth. They result from increased pressure in the
veins of the anus. The pressure causes the veins to
swell, making them painful, particularly when you are
sitting.
Haemorrhoids may be inside or outside the body.
Lupus
If you have lupus, your immune system attacks healthy
cells and tissues. This can damage your joints, skin,
blood vessels and organs. There are many kinds of lupus.
The most common type, systemic lupus erythematosus,
affects many parts of the body. Discoid lupus causes a
rash that doesn't go away. Subacute cutaneous lupus
causes sores after being out in the sun. Lupus has many
symptoms. Some common ones are
• Joint pain or swelling
• Muscle pain
• Fever with no known cause
• Red rashes, often on the face (also called the
"butterfly rash")
Allergies
An allergy is an exaggerated immune response or reaction
to substances that are generally not harmful.
Heart Disease
Heart disease is any disorder that affects the heart's
ability to function normally. The most common cause of
heart disease is a narrowing of or blockage in the
coronary arteries supplying blood to the heart muscle.
High/low Blood Pressure
High blood pressure or hypertension means high pressure
in the arteries. Arteries are vessels that carry blood
from the pumping heart to all the tissues and organs of
the body. Normal blood pressure is below 120/80; blood
pressure of 140/90 or above is considered high.
Diabetes
Diabetes is a disease in which there are high levels of
sugar in the blood. People with diabetes have high blood
sugar because their body cannot move sugar into fat,
liver, and muscle cells to be stored for energy. This is
because either:
High blood sugar levels can cause several symptoms,
including:
• Blurry vision
• Excess thirst
• Fatigue
• Frequent urination
• Hunger
• Weight loss
Sleep Disorders
Good sleep is a sign of health. Poor sleep is often a
sign of some malfunctioning and may signal either minor
or serious medical or psychiatric disorders. |
