He is still lucky to save his eyes. Some accident victims are not so lucky.  Some of them are declared brain dead, even when they are asking the doctors to call their relatives. They don't know that their organs are already being auctioned. They may have been brought there by some planned accident.

The nexus between the hospital's staff and private labs is well established. And the lure of hefty commissions encourages doctors to divert samples to private labs.  No one can stop it.
Not only that, on several occasions, in the mid of night, the relatives of a critical patient, mostly from  poor family  are told to arrange blood for their patient. The hospital staff suggest the relatives the address of some private blood banks that generally function during the nights. Some autos are already parked outside the hospitals to take them to fake blood suppliers. The patient dies before the day break when that blood is pumped in his body. May be the blood was merely some red liquid.

Most of patients may not be aware that they are being used to test new medicines that are being developed by advance countries.
